Broadway Rhythm – Variety
There may have been more. If this is anything to go on, you should probably avoid any films starring Ginny Simms. There are a couple of good specialty numbers, but that's about it. A definite clinker from MGM in the war years. Paper thin plot, goofy specialty acts, mostly 2nd string contact players and garish technicolor. Ginny Simms has a pretty voice, there were a couple of Lena Horne numbers thrown in too.
Almost quit watching around the one-hour mark, but decided to fast-forward and just watch the musical numbers. Glad I did, as the second half has the better musical numbers.
I was particularly glad to see the Ross Sisters' number; I'd seen it online, and while seeing it in context doesn't add anything, it was nice to see again, even if some of the contortionist moves made me squirm. Lena Horne's numbers are fine, as well.

Beyond that, not much to recommend. Ginny Sims is a dud as an actress, and her singing didn't make much of an impression on me. George Murphy's even more forgettable.
